Wen Hair Products

We have all seen this infomercial late on a sleepless night and wondered "Can I too have this amazing hair I am seeing in this commercial" Well according to Chaz Dean you can. This is my long awaited Wen Hair by Chaz Dean review.

I finally decided to go ahead and give Wen a try when I saw it on Sephora.com . I purchased the Healthy Hair Kit which was "A three-piece set of WEN essentials for gorgeous, healthy hair" for $39.00

What it claims to do
  1. Cleanse, condition, nourish, and repair your locks with this collection of WEN favorites for all hair types.
  2. The five-in-one Cleansing Conditioner will pamper and invigorate your stressed-out tresses with its luxurious formula of herbal extracts like aloe leaf juice and sweet almond oil.
  3. The Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment is a super-nourishing, weekly mask that promises to give your hair more body and a beautiful, healthy shine.
  4.  The Replenishing Treatment Mist is a lightweight, hydrating formula specially designed as a quick pick-me-up to increase volume and body between washes.

I have thick medium length hair that I put throw the ringer almost daily. I change color, I straighten the hell out of it- I love my waver so lets say my hair is pretty dry and damaged that I am trying to rescue. I had HUGE hopes that Wen would be the answer to my prayers and finally be the holy grail hair product. I couldn't wait to get started so I hopped in the shower and applied 20 pumps of this shampoo into my hair. I fallowed the directions as the bottle told me and fallowed the initial rinse with the repair mask. I decided to go all out and sleep in the mask overnight to allow the mask to really do its magic. However, magic it was not. My hair felt a little better so I thought it may take a few applications. By my 4th application  (at 20 pumps each) I was halfway through my bottle without much change in the condition of my hair. "Keep positive, its going to work" I kept telling myself but sadly I was painfully disappointed. This product did not help my hair what so ever, matter of fact- it actually made it worse. My hair feels more dry and straw like then it did before I started using it. That's not the worst of it either! I have NEVER had a problem with a flaky scalp until I started using Wen. I ever went to my dermatologist and he suggested I contact Wen. I did so and and the customer service rep told me I wasn't using enough product. NOT ENOUGH!?! She suggested I now double my pumps which means I would now be using 40 pumps! This seems awfully extensive especially since after only 4 washes ant 20 pumps my bottle way half way gone.. I gave it a whirl though and thought maybe it would help..which it didn't. Now my Wen is gone .. I got 6 washes dry brittle hair and a super flaky scalp for nearly $40.00.
I am also a bit confused on the fact that Wen has added all sorts of stuff to their line, when Wen is supposed to replace all these other hair products-however I do enjoy the tiny bottle of spray I received in this pack and the sweet almond mint does smell good.  In my opinion Wen Sucks and I have to give it 2 huge thumbs down. Booooo Wen ... Boo!
